I worked in the archaeology lab with Dr. Ben Fitzhugh, cataloging and rehousing collections and doing analysis of artifacts collected in the Kuril Islands and the Kodiak Archipelago.

My duties included managing and instructing field school student, as well as managing field and lab equipment, assisting with ordering supplies, and writing field notes and final reports.

Cultural Kitchen Coordinator and Peer Mentor
Edmonds Community College (Feb. 2013-May 2014)

I worked as an event planner and peer mentor for the Department of Anthropology at Edmonds Community College. My duties included designing and constructing an outdoor kitchen and gathering space in the campus community garden. As part of the construction, I coordinated with faculty and students to construct the space via service-learning projects. Throughout the process, I consulted with local tribal elders to design earthen and pit ovens that would be used to prepare traditional foods for cultural events hosted by the college.
