I worked as an event planner and peer mentor for the Department of Anthropology at Edmonds Community College. My duties included designing and constructing an outdoor kitchen and gathering space in the campus community garden. As part of the construction, I coordinated with faculty and students to construct the space via service-learning projects. Throughout the process, I consulted with local tribal elders to design earthen and pit ovens that would be used to prepare traditional foods for cultural events hosted by the college.
